Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation & Technology (ACE)
Our executive programs address today's most pressing business challenges. For example, one of our new programs, Cybersecurity Leadership for Non-Technical Executives provides leaders and managers (non-CISOs) with frameworks and best practices for managing cybersecurity-related risk. Another new program, Questions Are the Answer: A Breakthrough Approach to Creative Problem Solving, Innovation, and Change helps executives learn conceptual frameworks and behavioral habits for cultivating an inquiry-driven approach to leadership and life.
Our certificate programs in management, innovation and technology are taught by full-time MIT faculty-leading management experts and sought-after business consultants from the Sloan School of Management and other MIT schools and research centers.
Each program session is an immersive experience presented in three parts: theory that provides a framework to help participants see their work from a different perspective; application of the theory in the form of simulations, company visits, or team projects, which can feature a specific company or an industry sector; and discussion-in small groups as well as in the entire room-to make the material more relevant to each individual participant. This cycle repeats several times during each session to facilitate interactive learning that is not only academically solid but also enriching and engaging.
ACE participants design their own curriculum and set their own schedule. Participants interested in an immersive, single experience have the option of attending multiple programs over a eight- to ten-week period; other participants may opt to spread their programs out over a longer period time, up to four years, according to workload and budget constraints. With MIT's advanced executive certificate program, no long-term commitment is required. If you participate in one or several programs, but are unable to complete the number required for an ACE, you will still take away the benefits of MIT's unique management insights, a new understanding of the global business environment, and a much-enriched network.
ACE participants engage with business leaders from around the globe and a wide variety of industries-from technology to communications to financial services to manufacturing, as well as government and non-profit organizations. Many of our participants come from countries in South America, Europe, and Asia. During MIT's advanced executive certificate program, participants can expect to interact with over 500 senior executives in various organizational and management roles, from many of the world's leading companies.
Upon completion of the ACE requirements, participants will become MIT Sloan Affiliate Alumni. At MIT, full alumni status is reserved for those who complete a degree program.
