“Prior to attending MIT, I had a first degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a master’s degree in Engineering business management, and over a decade of technical practice managing industrial electrical systems and Turbo-machinery equipment at ExxonMobil Nigeria,” says Patience. “I came to MIT Sloan to be a part of the thought leadership and superior learning experience it is renowned for and to chart a course for my career progression from technical to business roles.”
Patience came back to campus in 2015 and again in 2016, taking courses in the Strategy and Innovation and Technology and Operations tracks. And in 2017, she completed the week-long, flagship Entrepreneurship Development Program. In total, Patience completed ten courses to earn her Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology (ACE).

“Studying at MIT Sloan facilitated my desired to move to a commercial role within my organization. I also acquired life-changing awareness from courses like Strategies for Sustainable Business, which inspired me to pursue further studies and practice in the field of sustainability. I am currently enrolled on the Masters in Sustainability Leadership course at the University of Cambridge in the UK and am engaged in several personal sustainability projects.”
