Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology (ACE)
Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology (ACE)
The Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology (ACE) is a special Executive Certificate for participants who complete 25 Executive Education Units (EEUs) and at least two courses from each Executive Certificate track within a four-year period. (At least 10 EEUs must be earned in an on-site course or through completion of a live online course versus through a self-paced online course.) It is designed for executives from any industry or level of responsibility who see the value of staying current with the latest thought leadership, management insights and business expertise provided by the MIT Sloan School of Management. ACE is not a single course with a single group of participants. As an ACE participant, you choose the courses that best suit your interests and schedule. You can start earning ACE at any time, as soon as you enroll in one of our 50+ open enrollment programs.
“MIT was a true game changer for me. The live online courses are excellent … I was blown away by the quality of the content. I especially appreciate how quickly we got to the value. These professors focus on the big, impactful insights and leave out the unnecessary fluff that I don’t need to relearn over and over again. And they stretched me to think differently about topics I thought I already understood.” - Steve Suarez, Global Head of Innovation, Finance & Risk, HSBC
Flexible, Customizable Format
ACE participants design their own curriculum and set their own schedule. Participants interested in an immersive, single experience have the option of attending multiple programs over a eight- to ten-week period; other participants may opt to spread their courses out over a longer period time, up to four years, according to workload and budget constraints. With MIT's advanced executive certificate program, no long-term commitment is required. If you participate in one or several courses, but are unable to complete the number required for an ACE, you will still take away the benefits of MIT's unique management insights, a new understanding of the global business environment, and a much-enriched network.
Earn an ACE with Multiple Courses
As an ACE participant, you choose the programs that best suit your interests and schedule. You can start earning ACE at any time, as soon as you enroll in one of our 50+ open enrollment programs.
In order to earn the ACE, you must complete 25 EEUs and at least two courses from each Executive Certificate track within a four-year period. (At least 10 program days must be completed on-site or through completion of a live online course versus through a self-paced online course.)
You must add the ACE to your cart and check out in order to formally enroll and have your courses be counted toward the requirements. Please see the red "Enroll Now" bar and click on "Add to Cart."
Each course offering is an immersive experience presented in three parts: theory that provides a framework to help participants see their work from a different perspective; application of the theory in the form of simulations, company visits, or team projects, which can feature a specific company or an industry sector; and discussion-in small groups as well as in the entire room-to make the material more relevant to each individual participant. This cycle repeats several times during each session to facilitate interactive learning that is not only academically solid but also enriching and engaging.
Earn an ACE Through a Single Course
The following longer courses grant an ACE upon completion:
“There are many frameworks that proved useful … Every time I’m struggling with something I can rely on these approaches. . . . The people attending these courses are as enriching as the program content itself. Everyone genuinely comes together to try to solve challenges for each other. It’s very clear everyone wants to make a contribution so everyone else succeeds. I have met some truly amazing professionals here.” - Alejandra Martinez, Managing Director of Software Solutions, Agile Solutions
“The world had changed since I completed my degrees. I was looking for a different approach to continue with my professional development ... I wanted learning that I could apply immediately, in real life. I wanted to be challenged to do things differently and know how to influence others to think differently too. And, of course, I wanted to be endorsed by one of the best schools around the world. You can get all of that from MIT.” - Norma Castillo Lopez, Supply Chain Finance Manager, Pepsico, Latin America

“MIT Sloan Executive Education was one of the most satisfying educational experiences of my life. I wish I had done it sooner. It offered tremendous value.” - Kevin Fee, Vice President of Engineering, Florence Corporation
What does the ACE cost? It depends. There is no one set price if you are completing the requirements with multiple courses. You select the courses that fit your schedule and educational plan. The total cost would be the price of the individual courses completed. You may choose all two-day programs or a mixture of two-day and week-long programs. You don't have to enroll in and pay for all of the programs at one time, however there are significant savings when you take advantage of the Multiple Program Registration Discount. If you opt to complete the ACE requirements with the Advanced Management Program or Executive Program in General Management, your cost would be the tuition of the course.
Multiple Program Registration Discount:
When you register at one time for two or three courses (using a single application form), you are eligible for a 10% discount on each course. Or register for four or more courses and receive 15% off each course.

"These courses don’t mirror other programs, they have their own methods, they use their own resources and research. They enlist incredible faculty and thought leaders. And the short courses work for a lot of people who can’t take weeks or months off at a time. It means the classes are very diverse, filled with unique, global perspectives.” - Calvin Dalton, Afghanistan Country Lead and Program Manager, BAE Systems
I credit these courses with providing a new way to observe the world and a perspective shift for looking at problems in an organization … and asking the bigger questions, the better questions. Getting to the ‘why’ — this has really been resonating with my company.
