Today working as a Chief Software Architect with .NET and Microsoft technologies and as the Director of a team of seasoned architects, I have been working for more than 18 years in software development, using the major object oriented languages (some Java, a lot of C++ and mainly C# now and some web technologies) on different environments (virtual reality, healthcare, web…). I have more than 14 years of experience in leading software developers, including hiring, managing and mentoring them. I really enjoy sharing ideas and help my co-workers to be successful. I pay a lot attention to details and always look for the most elegant but pragmatic solutions while keeping in mind the business objectives, finding a good balance between short time-to-market and software design choices for good maintainability and evolutivity. My main focus is now on enterprise-grade, edge to cloud computing and client-server applications with a strong interest in end-user facing applications, with the usability in mind. I am curious by nature, I like to learn new technologies and techniques to solve new challenges, by being creative and thinking out of the box. After 10 years working in Healthcare IT, I have learned a lot about this domain, in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485…), working closely with the Product Management team in the US, the key partners and the customers, translating the business requirements into technical design and being the interface to the R&D in France. As the Software Development Manager of the Core Team and then the Chief Architect, I played an active role to improve the way of working and by designing the product to help the company to grow, from 35 employees to almost 200 in a few years, and then to be acquired by Qualcomm Life a few years ago. I also attach a great importance to the software development process and lifecycle, the tools, the techniques, the good practices, the environment, to make quality software development simple and enjoyable. I am passionate to bringing my energy and experience to innovate and participate to make projects successful, in a collaborative way. I always seek excellence, by finding the optimal solution in a pragmatic way.
