Leonardo Aguilar is a seasoned technology and operations executive with a distinguished track record in global program management, strategic planning, and telecom infrastructure deployment. With over 20 years of leadership experience, he has successfully directed high-impact PMOs, large-scale deployments, and business transformation initiatives across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Africa.
Renowned for his ability to streamline operations, optimize financial performance, and accelerate project execution, Leonardo has held senior leadership positions at Samsung, JPMorgan, and Ericsson, where he has redefined program management, service delivery, and telecom deployment strategies.
As Director of Deployment PMO at Samsung Electronics America, Leonardo established and leads the Services PMO Processes and Practices Team, driving operational efficiency, deployment standardization, and strategic project execution. He also oversees Bids & Proposals, where he has secured approval for business cases exceeding $10 billion, ensuring profitability and strategic alignment. Additionally, he played a key role in launching a state-of-the-art training center, enhancing workforce capabilities and project delivery quality.
Previously, as Vice President of Program Management at JPMorgan, he led global process optimization initiatives, aligning client onboarding operations with evolving regulatory and market requirements in a highly complex, compliance-driven environment.
At Ericsson, Leonardo transformed project operations across multiple regions, delivering record-setting efficiency, profitability, and execution. He led the Sprint 65MHz Program, a $630M, 12,000-site initiative, successfully completing it ahead of schedule and 30% under budget, strengthening Ericsson’s industry leadership. He also spearheaded Ericsson’s most profitable Microwave program in North America and contributed to record-setting margins for Business Unit Global Services in 2015.
Leonardo holds a BS-MS in Electronics and Telecommunications and an MBA with a focus on Project Management. He is a PMP-certified professional and has completed an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT.
