Alberto joined Pittsburgh Corning in 2006 as Managing Director México, two years later was named Vice President Latin America and the Caribbean for Glass block and FOAMGLAS® products and in July 2013 he was appointed Vice President and General Manager for the Glass Block Division, still overseeing the FOAMGLAS® business in Latin America. Prior to joining Pittsburgh Corning Alberto was Marketing and Comercial Manager of Grupo Calidra, the leading company in the Lime Industry in Mexico partner of Graymont limited in Canada and previously Carmeuse Group in Belgium . During his time with Grupo Calidra Alberto held different positions in sales for both industrial and building markets, managing different teams of sales reps and sales managers including Architects, Civil engineers, Chemical engineers among other professionals. He wrote a book about waste water treatment as well as many other articles in environmental and Steel industry magazines. Specialties: Expertise includes In Industrial Markets: Steel industry, Pulp and paper, Mining, Sugar as well as other food industries, Chemical processing, Environmental, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture, Glass and most recently Oil and Gas. In Building Markets, experience doing business and keeping relationships with: Home Centers, Ceramic and Tile Distributors, Ferreterias, Building Materials Lumbers, Low Income Housing Developers, Building Contractors and Architect Firms.
