Bio

Michael Mattei is the Executive Vice President and General Manager for Leviton’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business unit. He manages three factories in Chihuahua, Mexico, which manufacture products for all of Leviton’s business units. He is responsible for engineering, product management, quality, and marketing for commercial and industrial electrical solutions.


Prior to running Leviton’s C&I business unit since 2008, Mike joined Leviton in 2004 as a fiber business development director in the Network Solutions business unit. He had spent over 20 years in the fiber optics field building a business from scratch. The acquisition of his New York based business is what brought him to Leviton. Michael started his career at Eaton as a mechanical engineer before moving to Porta Systems Corporation. Later, Michael worked for Tyco Electronics where he managed sales, marketing, and engineering for the Ditel fiber optic division specializing in passive interconnect hardware, cable assemblies, and raceways.


Michael is a strong technical management professional with certificates in Strategy & Innovation from MIT and Leadership Best Practices focused on Executive Management from Harvard Business School. Michael has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Master of Science in Technology Management from New York University.
