What are “Business Sprints”?

Business Sprints from MIT Sloan Executive Education are six-hour courses you can complete any time over 30 days. You may be familiar with “sprints”, as a term used in Agile product development, defined as a set duration of time during which specific work must be completed and made ready for review. You can think of Business Sprints in a similar way—as a set period of time in which to work, experiment, solve a challenge, and share your results.

Although you can complete these offerings independently, we recommend taking both Business Sprints, in the order they appear above.

Both courses are led by MIT Sloan Professor Jared Curhan, who is world-renowned for his research on the psychology of negotiation and conflict resolution and highly lauded for his application of novel technologies in the classroom.

If you're new to negotiations, these Business Sprints will demystify the process, making difficult conversations seem more predictable, straightforward, and hopefully more comfortable. If you're already familiar with negotiations, these courses will put structure around what you're already doing. They can formalize and reinforce aspects of negotiations in which you already excel and identify areas for improvement.

Through video lectures, research-based frameworks, and cutting-edge AI-enabled exercises—all completed on your own schedule over 30 days—you will enhance and refine your negotiation skills, leaving you better prepared for real-world negotiations and more likely to achieve success at the bargaining table.

We hope you will join us for these exciting new courses!
