Mario is regional Director for México at EPSON Latin America. He has been developing a groging strategy for the subsidiary in the Industrial, Commercial and Consumer Business UNits. Before EPSON, Mario was Managing Partner at LinkIT Latam, a consulting firm that advice IT companies on how to expand its internationalization process in Latin America. Mario is a well-recognized executive with more than 27 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry. He started his venture in the IT arena developing software applications and since then, he has been performing several responsibilities and leading high performance teams in areas such as sales, support, delivery, consulting, and general management. Mario began his career in Latin America @ Novell when he was promoted to be the Regional Manager of Colombia Ecuador and Venezuela in 1999. From there, he continued with his execution until finishing as regional director of the countries of the North of the continent, from Peru, to Central America and Caribbean. Mario also worked for Lexmark for almost 14 years performing several leading and strategic responsibilities. 7 years as General Manager in Countries like Colombia, Chile Brazil and Mexico, and 7 years as Director for Latin America for areas like Channel, (2 Years) and 5 Years as the Enterprise and Services Director leading Sales and the most strategic business units of the Company, the MPS (Managed Print Services) offering, where Lexmark became the top provider in Latin America, and the professional services organization responsible for the architecture of the well recognized Lexmark industry solutions . During the latest years at Lexmark, Mario was appointed as a General Manager for the 2 largest subsidiaries in Latin America, Brazil in 2013 and Mexico since 2014 until July of 2017, where he performed an aggressive plan that consolidated this subsidiary as one of the most profitable subsidiaries in the world Mario is an Industrial engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. He has an MBA from Universidad de Los Andes and a degree from the Top Management Program at the same university. In 2004, he received a degree in the CEO Program at Universidad de Los Andes. Mario also has been attending and gathering several certifications in areas like leadership, strategy, management and innovation in different programs at some of the most recognized business schools, RoffeyPark Institute, Miami University Oxford, OH, in 2007, Ross School of Business, Michigan University, 2011 & 2012, Harvard Business School Boston, MA, 2014 and MIT SLOAN Executive Education Cambridge, MA in 2016 and 2017 where he recently got his certification in Management & Leadership.
