Ken Kobell is Vice President of Efficacy Assurance at Pearson, the leading education services company. As such, he leads the Pearson School line of business Efficacy review program to deliver on Pearson’s promise of having a measurable impact on a person’s life through learning. He is responsible for building efficacy capacity across the School LoB, delivering efficacy data analytics and developing efficacy-related policy, procedure, and implementation support. He also leads the effort to deliver externally audited public reporting of the efficacy of Pearson's product portfolio in 2018, fulfilling a public commitment made to our markets, customers, and learners. Prior to his tenure at Pearson, Ken was a management consultant and senior advisor to client executives in the areas of program and operations management, change/risk management, budgeting and financial management, cost estimating, business process re-engineering, critical information infrastructure planning, and systems engineering management. He was responsible for organizing, training, and implementing Program Management Offices (PMO) to oversee the planning, execution, and performance measurement and control of enterprise-wide programs, system implementations, and business transformations with successful client relationships in Canada, Singapore, Germany, the UK, and the U.S. Ken received his BS degree in Behavioral Science from the New York Institute of Technology as well as an MBA from the University of West Florida. He earned an Executive Certificate in Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management from MIT Sloan in June, 2013. Ken is a Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Master Program Leader, and retired Marine Corps reserve colonel.
