Melé’s Summer at MIT

In the summer of 2023, Antonio Melé embarked on a transformative journey by enrolling in MIT's Advanced Management Program (AMP). The decision to pursue AMP was driven by a pivotal moment in his career. "After a frenzy six-year ride on the startup rollercoaster, building and scaling a fintech company, I found myself on the verge of our company being acquired. It was a pivotal moment. I recognized the need to step back, reframe my perspective, and realized it was the perfect time to embark on an educational journey at MIT. " Antonio explains.

Choosing MIT over other prestigious institutions like Harvard and Stanford was a no-brainer for Antonio, given his technical background. "Not only did I want to experience MIT, but coincidentally, I knew someone from the previous year's AMP cohort – who said it was amazing," he says. Antonio's thirst for knowledge and desire for a unique learning experience led him to the doors of MIT, where he would ultimately transform his own trajectory.

The Birth of BeaverAI

During his time at MIT AMP, Antonio Melé embarked on a unique project that would leave a lasting impact on his cohort. He created an AI chatbot named BeaverAI, a nod to MIT's beloved mascot, Tim the Beaver. BeaverAI swiftly evolved into the cohort’s trusted sidekick, and all participants enjoyed testing prompts, and sharing feedback that contributed to its ongoing improvement.

I learnt frameworks and tools that allowed me to redefine the problems I was addressing and craft successful strategies," Antonio reflects, highlighting the program's transformative impact on his career.

Keeping the Global Cohort Connection Alive

One of the unique aspects of AMP is its diverse and globally inclusive cohort. Antonio Melé cherishes the connections he forged during his time at MIT.
