Tauseef Ayaz is an Account Manager for Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN), a global leader in mobile communications.

As Account Manager at NSN, Tauseef says that the MIT Sloan courses were intensive and very much in line with his career. The flexible, short-term program allowed him to complete the certificate without too much time away from his office and with the right amount of effort.

As a business manager Tauseef appreciated the different perspectives on various business issues, which he has been able to bring to the workplace. "Instead of viewing a situation from a technical or commercial perspective, I am now able to look at the financial side of things. I am better able to quantify a strategy."

Tauseef, who has been in the high tech sector for 15 years, says the MIT Sloan Executive Education Certificate program "gave him insight into other dimensions of his industry, which helped my overall professional development from domain manager to a general management position."

Tauseef also liked the diversity of course participants and found the networking aspect very beneficial, because he was able to interact with participants from government, energy, and aerospace industries, as well as those with backgrounds in finance, pharmaceuticals, and entrepreneurship. "In addition, some of my classmates had 25 years of business experience, while others were in middle management … and they came from all over the world."

Tauseef received a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1999 from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He earned an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan in 2013.
