Anca Pop, MD, MBA is a physician, speaker and healthcare consultant with a mission to leverage innovation through development of a new healthcare model that transforms healthcare delivery by optimizing efficiencies and improving patient care. As a Board Certified Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience, her expertise encompasses patient services, healthcare administration, process improvement, hospital logistics, and strategic management consulting. Ms. Pop makes it a priority to remain at the forefront of healthcare transformation. Her recent contributions include serving on the Practice Management and more recently the Reimbursement Committee for ASGE, as a member of the Alternate Payment System Taskforce. She has been actively involved in the society’s advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill. During her time at the VA Medical Center, she initiated and led the redesign of the endoscopy unit and expanded hepatology transplant services which ultimately shortened wait times, increased patient satisfaction, and offered a new chance at life for our veterans. These efforts led to her winning the Department of Veterans Affairs Performance Award in 2005. Currently she is a panel Telehealth Specialist for Arista MD Digital Health and serves on the Advisory Board for Fruit Street Telemedicine. Mrs. Pop holds a MBA degree in the Business of Medicine from Kelley School of Business at Indiana-Purdue and a Certificate of Strategy and Innovation from MIT-Sloan School of Management
