  • Tetsuya O: I had learned the essence of the entrepreneurial spirit which is a perspective that goes beyond business, forcing you to think about what matters most to you. I had applied the program’s thinking in my job at Patagonia, which involves working with outside companies to explore new technologies and business concepts. Before the entrepreneurship development program, I had a list of almost 200 projects I might pursue. Today, I have winnowed that list to two priority projects. After the entrepreneurship development program, I’ve got promoted at Patagonia. And also Pepperdine University where I earned MBA degree appointed me as the board of visitors.

  • Mario B: Spending a week at MIT with business people from 30 countries was very inspiring. It is fast pace with lots of great content that you will use today, tomorrow and for the rest of your career. The theory is great with good speakers and experts but the practice is even better. Get ready to work hard, play hard while creating new relationship with people from all around the world who could potentially be your next venture partner!

  • Pieter N: There is no better place to make you a better entrepreneur than MIT Sloan's EDP. In my view entrepreneurship is a mindset, but it requires basic skills that can be tought. The EDP faculty are the global experts in technology entrepreneurship. The cirriculum is tailored to address the full spectrum of issues which entrepreneurs has to face in starting new businesses. Participants in our class came from 28 countries, so it's fully international. I was very satisfied with the attention given to building global businesses. (as a South African participant, I sometimes worry about programmes that might be too US-centric - not at all the case here) Possibly the most usefull aspect of the programme, was the intense daily coaching by experienced CEOs, venture capitalists, and faculty during business simulations. During the course of the week I was exposed to around 20 external people who gave exceptional insights, on top of those provided by the faculty. As an added bonus, the exposure to VCs let to a meeting with a well known seed investor the day following the programme. Finally, the Sloan campus, the catering, and the organization in general is of exceptionally high standard. I highly recommend the EDP to all entrepreneurs.

  • Simon M: I had heard great reports on the EDP from previous attendees but nothing prepared me for how incredible it was. I learned some much in such an intense week that it has taken months to process it. The course has changed the way I think about my business and what we can achieve. We are now on route to a global market with a new offering and new business model. We have a confidence in our ability to achieve great things that was not previously there.

  • Josianne L: The week at MIT in the entrepreneurship development program is a very incredible opportunity to learn, from the best, how to be a successful entrepreneur on the international market. With a mix of theory, practice and networking, you learn how to be more focus and effective to reach the top.

  • John F: A fantastic learning experience that will provide accelerated growth for any business. The practical approach taken combined with the tools and processes learned make this one of the best programmes I have had access to. Fast paced, innovative, practical simulations of lessons learned and global networking opportunities are just some of the many facets this programme has to offer. I would recommend this programme to anyone looking to maximise their business potential.

  • Joe T: My accountant once asked me to provide a three-word quote for a magazine ad he was producing to promote his business. My answer was "better than me with numbers." Aside from the swathes of practical stuff picked up during an incredibly rewarding week, the biggest thing I took away from EDP was focus, and how to keep applying it as my business grows. So, with that new sense of focus, if I was asked to describe EDP in three words, my answer would be "life changing."

MIT entrepreneurs: The world's 10th-largest economy

Living MIT graduates who have started and built for-profit companies do not qualify as a nation. However, if they did, they'd be the world's 10th largest economy, with gross revenue falling between the GDP of Russia ($2.097 trillion) and India ($1.877 trillion), according to a new report.
