  • Davide N: Well structured courses and synthetic enough to fit in the 2 days allocated. Would have required more pre-course reading for non experts in finance.

  • Hiten S: This is a really good program offered by MIT Sloan. During the first day, we reviewed key Accounting concepts, and then dove into cost allocations and transfer pricing and how they distorted micro and macro business performance. I found the cost allocation case studies to be difficult, but useful. The second day, we covered various methods of ROI evaluation. Over several case studies, we discussed how to intuitively assess if positive ROI was "real" despite what it looked like on paper, and where and when wealth creation / destruction occurred -- this part of the class was extremely useful in developing business intuition. Both the instructors (Scott Keating and Joe Weber) were very good -- they knew the material well, and were able to communicate difficult concepts effectively. I would strongly recommend this class - it covers a lot of good ground in Finance and Accounting.

  • Peter N: I came to this program with the goal of better understanding how businesses make financial decisions about the projects they invest in. The program met my expectations in every respect. Both the content and the instructor interaction helped me understand the the bottom line. I also picked up several techniques that I will apply in my government organization to help us be more intuitive in understanding where we are being efficient with our funds and where we have room for improvement.

  • Paul R: As with all these classes this could have been more intensive. Earlier start, longer day, more detail. But maybe I'm atypical?

  • Douglas S: Very impressed with the course, instructors and topics covered over the course of two days. Some material was more advanced than my current knowledge level but provides an excellent opportunity for future training. All of which has the potential for being applicable to my current job function and future opportunities.
