  • Toronata T: I enjoyed the content of the class which were delivered solemnly and elegantly. Very classic MIT class

  • Steve H: Concept of whether an organization should go into a new country and what they can take away from that decision was instrumental in the course being a success.

  • Frank W: This was a great short course! The faculty, staff, and facilities were excellent. Most participants were not from the U.S. and they enriched the learning experience. The course provided a different framework to view the business world. It had specific tools to takeaway.

  • Enio Almeida J: Grateful experience!!! Excellent faculty with very clear explanations, the pre-readings were very interesting as well. The only comment I would be to explore more the discussions and relationship between the students. Overall: Excellent.

  • Bruno R: Overall, great experience! I would make just one comment that the faculty could work better the "experience" piece. One of the best take aways of executive courses are the new connections we make, specially when the participant composition is pretty international like in MIT. If you guys could facilitate a bit more the networking piece, like the reception we had, organize a dinner or something like this, it would add a lot of value to the whole experience of the course.

  • Armin S: In one word: Disappointing. While the presentations are structured well and do bring a few important concepts across, too much time is spent on beginner level ideas, ancient case studies and somewhat unsurprising trends, like the growth of western companies' activities in China. Not a word about the strategic impact of e-business, mobile computing and communication, virtual supply chains, newly emerging economies (beyond China), to name but a few issues of present relevance. Both lecturers were very pleasant and tried to engage the class, but got often sidetracked into lengthy, no value adding discussions, not being able to funnel irrelevant questions into the virtual trash bin. In a course of barely 2 days lecturers must be able to keep a certain discipline for the benefit of the otherwise rightfully annoyed majority. On top of that the organization was simply not up to the level one must expect from this institution. The full agenda and even the pre-readings became available in the very last days before the course, leaving no time for preparation - which in turn does not benefit the general level of discussion. In short, coming from an organization struggling with the very issues this course tried to address, I nevertheless walked away bored.
