  • Bibliography

    Maximiliano M. | October 22, 2011 at 2:32PM

As suggested by Luca I repost my query on the wall.

    Dear colleagues,

I am working for the Argentine and Uruguayan governments to increase tech transfer activities between local universities and PROs and local industries.

One limitation we have in the region is the lack of bibliography. There are no books specifically referred to university-industry TT. Therefore, I would be grateful if you could suggest me bibliography on university-industry technology transfer. Management, valuation and good practices. Legal and Economic sides. In English, lingua franca of our profession.

The idea is to learn from developed nations (geographical areas US and EU) but also to adapt it to our reality. There is no book on the particularities of domestic TT in developing countries. I may write that book.

    Thank you all,
    Max

    Paul D. | October 6, 2011 at 3:03PM

Gary Hamel asked the World Business Forum group today to ask people on the front lines of your business - how have you been trained to be innovative? You cant expect to go out on a golf course and hit a perfect score without being trained - then why do we think we can demand innovation out of our employee base. So how do you get your employees to be innovative?

    Paul D. | October 6, 2011 at 11:19AM

Seth Godin author of many books on marketing was at World Business Forums today discussing the concept of making yourself indispensable to your company. His position is that only a *few* people in any organization take their role "beyond the manual". You need to hire people in your company that are will to go above and beyond their titles today. But how do you do that?

  • The Growing Interdependence of the World

    Paul D. | October 5, 2011 at 5:41PM

The last speech of the day at the World Business Forums comes from former president, Bill Clinton. Interesting choice of a man who led America in the largest peace time economic expansion. He is giving us his framework on how our boarders, our economic markets and our commerce are all interconnected now more than ever before. And unfortunately he believes it will only get worse. As the future leaders of the world - what can we do about this?
