Wil van de Wiel is currently responsible for developing a strategic direction for Bosch Security Systems that will result in the implementation of tactical and operational programs to achieve sustainable growth within the security market. He manages a $100+ million global business. Wil began his career with Bosch as the global quality manager. In this role, he set up the six sigma based quality system. He also introduced and implemented reliability engineering and high accelerated life testing concepts.
Wil started his career in engineering at Royal Philips N.V., in the Netherlands in 1988, where he was an early adapter and disciple of six sigma. Wil became an expert in the dynamic behavior of highly accurate mechatronic positioning equipment. He holds a patent for a twin scan positioning system for lithographic waferscanner. Wil held several managerial positions while he was with Philips Medical Systems and he achieved “manufacturing excellence” while with Philips Lighting.
