Shekar Subrahmanyam has over fifteen years of experience in software relating to CAD/CAM/CAE. His work with CAD and solid modeling includes the organization of international conferences and seminars as well as the authorship of several patents. He is the author and reviewer of several technical papers published in national and international journals and was an invited speaker at CAD 05 and National Manufacturing Week. Shekar's recent book, Mastering Autodesk Inventor 2009 and Autodesk Inventor LT 2009, offers design strategies and tips and tricks to design better with Autodesk Inventor.
Shekar has a doctorate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a master's degree from the University of Texas, and a bachelor's degree from Bangalore University, India, all in mechanical engineering. Prior to joining Autodesk Inc., he worked for various companies including Computervision and General Electric.
