Bernie is currently involved with the development of long-range business objectives and strategic plans for Pratt & Whitney. He joined Pratt & Whitney in 1986 after working for General Motors and has extensive experience in engineering and program management. In addition, he has served as program manager and key program contact for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in advanced engine programs. He has led several innovative programs in the development of engine concepts and technologies to enhance Pratt & Whitney's prospective strategic position in the marketplace. Bernie has also held a variety of engineering and leadership positions at Pratt & Whitney including engineering technical team leader and controls technology manager.
Bernie received a BS in electrical engineering from Purdue University in 1986 and a MBA in finance from the University of Connecticut in 2003. In addition, he graduated from Defense Systems Management College in Fort Belvoir, VA in 2007.
