Busa Mkhize is the Chief Executive Officer of an IT and business management consultancy, Inkanyezi Renaissance Group. His areas of expertise and interest include systems thinking, ICT strategy development and implementation, business strategy development and implementation, business dynamics, enterprise architecture visioning, business operations management, business intelligence, business development, business and technology innovation, entrepreneurship, and talent management.
Before founding his company, Busa spent a decade in the IT industry working as a software programmer for IBM (South Africa) and then moving into IT and business management consulting with the former Andersen Consulting. He has worked on various large scale technology and business management solution implementation projects in various industries including capital markets, banking, insurance, government, and healthcare in South Africa and internationally (e.g., Singapore, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Zambia).
He has an Honors degree in Computer Science from the University of Maine, Orono. He is currently completing his Executive MBA programme at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.
Busa is very interested in addressing social challenges. To this end, he currently serves as a deputy chairperson of the Bayethe Foundation board of trustees, a philanthropically oriented organization founded by His Majesty King Zwelithini to focus on uplifting impoverished communities by addressing issues related to education, health (HIV/AIDS), and poverty alleviation, as well as promoting good community values and culture.
