After a 37 career at AVON, a large multinational consumer products corporation, Amilcar Melendez decided to start a new business in the food processing sector. Before retiring, he was the Senior Vice-President and then President of AVON Latin America. The transition has presented him with new challenges from both a market perspective as well as an operations one. One of his most critical tasks is to create the infrastructure to be able to properly respond to market needs and expectations.
