Previously, as the vice president of strategic innovation for HID global, Gary identified over 100 million dollars worth of new business opportunities for secure access and identity management. He was responsible for directing innovation strategies; including innovation research, intellectual property, standards, and developing new business frontiers. As vice president of technology for Fargo Electronics, Gary led the development and implementation of identification card printing products worth over 90 million dollars when HID acquired Fargo. He was with Fargo Electronics for 15 years in a variety of engineering and engineering management roles and holds over 25 patents.
